A design based off Bride, a painting that’s still in the progress of being completed. There’s something off about the design which explains why it hasn’t been flushed out yet. I wanted to create a story and have the sky melt into a underwater scene. Another painting might have to go into that… Or I might chop it off altogether.

Speedpainting of 1.5 hours.

Decided to do a little sketch after a particularly difficult exam.

Signed by V has been updated with a few new pieces, though most of the updates are old and have been on various other sites prior to that including Sensorial’Org. For anyone who is interested, I am taking commissions at the moment, both in designs and artwork.

There are two new pieces: Easter Baskets and HindiGym.

A design for an upcoming Web site called HindiGym, an educational resource providing worksheets for kids and their guardians who wanted to learn or teach the Hindi language. Green and orange were specific colours that was requested to make the layout fresh and vibrant for target audience.

The logo was provided by the designers are Blue Sky Designs.

Some baskets I put together this year for a few friends for Easter. Baskets were filled with chocolate, mixed nuts, baby carrots, and a Chinese take-out container with a banana and chocolate chip cupcake and 2 mini angel-cakes.

Apr. 10th: Time to myself has been scarce these past few weeks as university is coming to an end. The back lighting needs to be address to reflect the intensity of the shading. There’s also some perspective problems with her mouth.

Feb. 23rd: I had the longest time starting this piece because I didn’t know what colours to use. I’m still uncertain about the palette. I’m open to suggestion as with all my WIP pieces since I’m still in the preliminary stages.

I do have an original painting in mind that I haven’t had the motivation to sketch out as of yet. Actually, I have 2. One involves sitting on a cliff, and the other martial arts. I even have my figurine models set up.

I haven’t been doing much on the design side of things due to the lack of motivation. However, there is a Pixar recruitment at my university. I’m rather intrigued in their technical undergraduate program, and software engineering internship. The software engineering internship is self-explanatory (developing, coding, testing). Their technical undergraduate program “is an approximately ten-week course taught in the summer by an experienced Technical Director at Pixar. Undergraduate Program students will be in a hands-on classroom environment and will learn the tools and processes of one or several TD disciplines at Pixar. Students will work individually and in small groups. During the summer students will have the opportunity to learn about, Pixar’s filmmaking process and explore a variety of career options. The classroom curriculum will focus on one or several of the technical aspects of filmmaking, for example, modeling, shading, rigging, lighting, and/or visual effects.”

Now I just need find time in between 2 assignments and midterm studies to polish up my resume and send a cover letter in by tomorrow at 5…

Done over 2 days but I’ve been staring at this painting for so long between programming (thinking my funciton was wrong, when it wasn’t and I was just misinterpreting the output.) The background was originally blue and purple, but I decided to desaturate it by 98% to emphasize the girl.

There’s something that I’m still not quite satisfied with, and I can’t figure out what. I had the most trouble trying to create depth and I think I failed miserably. I might go back and rework it after a long while. Just like all my other paintings!
