February 28th, 2009: A new homepage layout was in order to emphasize some of the new sections now that HindiGym has left the ground. The image on the left was the previous homepage; the image on the right is the redesigned layout. You’ll notice that the overall width of the design has also been expanded to adapt to increasing screen resolutions.

April 1st, 2008: A design for an upcoming Web site called HindiGym, an educational resource providing worksheets for kids and their guardians who wanted to learn or teach the Hindi language. Green and orange were specific colours that was requested to make the layout fresh and vibrant for target audience.

The logo was provided by the designers are Blue Sky Designs.

I have two new holiday artwork for the Holidays: “Silent Night” and “Emperor Penguin“; both look so much better printed.

In the past week, I compiled a mini artbook of my work from 2003. Photos will be uploaded when I find the time to do so.

In the meantime, I am working on a new piece: Water Fall. This speed painting was originally meant to be a backdrop, but there was no way to put a figure at the forefront. So I took the scene and reworked it:

I’m taking on an illustrative style even though I was hoping to deal out realism. I’m hoping to really sit down and study the human anatomy over the holidays. During the spring semester, I am considering taking figure drawing (as well as crochet/knitting, ballroom dancing, yoga and international cuisine) outside of school.

In terms of web projects, I have one on hold, and one being negotiated. Projects will not be completed until exam period is over in two weeks.

When that is over and done with, aside from social obligations, I also have a digital piece to do for the person I’m Secret Santa for at the Snark forums.

There’s a saying that goes, “Time to die, but no time to get sick.” Well, I defied that saying and got sick during the busiest week of the season. Two jobs (including that HTML developer’s job I mentioned in the previous entry), 120% course load => Working Tuesday and Thursday mornings, and Saturdays + 6 midterms (2 of which I sat through with a fever), 2 quizzes and 3 assignments.

Project-wise:

• Two new pieces (technically 3 but the “Golden Opulence” has been on my deviantArt account for a long time) has been added to Signed by V: Raphaela-Taha and Campus-411 Lite.
• The ice cream sundae series that I have been working on has been completed. It is compiled, again, at deviantArt.
• If there are Sailor Moon, specifically Mamoru, fans out there, it’s been a while since I contributed to fandom but I finally got a new draft article out of my system: Mamoru, a background character PART I and PART II. I also made an effort of putting together a… presentation, if you will.

I do have a premade for the rather dead DigiCreation sitting on my hard drive. I just haven’t found the time to code it. Or eat or sleep for that matter. Yet I find the time to blog.
