Sensorial’Org

Plans for the Summer

  1. Will be starting an 12-16 months internship at Mindblossom as an Information Architect/User Experience Designer. Super excited for this! No more school for a whole year =D
  2. Project with Professor Khai Truong. Details to come.
  3. One painting/sketch per day round 2!
  4. Anime North 2009
  5. Clean up the Resource section, and some of the errors that’s still around the site.
  6. Revamp Chiba. Although sadly neglected, people are still visiting and linking the site, and I feel bad for letting it collect dust. I still love Mamo-chan! School has just taken over.

Too Busy to Die

There’s a saying that goes, “Time to die, but no time to get sick.” Well, I defied that saying and got sick during the busiest week of the season. Two jobs (including that HTML developer’s job I mentioned in the previous entry), 120% course load => Working Tuesday and Thursday mornings, and Saturdays + 6 midterms (2 of which I sat through with a fever), 2 quizzes and 3 assignments.

Project-wise:

  • Two new pieces (technically 3 but the “Golden Opulence” has been on my deviantArt account for a long time) has been added to Signed by V: Raphaela-Taha and Campus-411 Lite.
  • The ice cream sundae series that I have been working on has been completed. It is compiled, again, at deviantArt.
  • If there are Sailor Moon, specifically Mamoru, fans out there, it’s been a while since I contributed to fandom but I finally got a new draft article out of my system: Mamoru, a background character PART I and PART II. I also made an effort of putting together a… presentation, if you will.

I do have a premade for the rather dead DigiCreation sitting on my hard drive. I just haven’t found the time to code it. Or eat or sleep for that matter. Yet I find the time to blog.

Portfolio and Neglected Sites

The portfolio section of the Sensorial’Org has been removed. Signed by V has been updated with the few pieces from the old portfolio that I’m still fond of as well as my latest two designs: this and the redesign for Campus-411. There are still some old pieces that I’m iffy about. In terms of skills, they are inferior but in terms of concept, they are some of my best.

Aside from the portfolio, there are two new pages that I want to add to the site. A “Resume” and testimonials page, and a scope-price list detailing how long a project of a certain scope would take and the compensation I expect. I look forward to laying it on. Writing it up? Not so much.

Sensorial’Org needs a revamp. Despite the new look, the content is old. The About Me page needs to be rewritten again. I need to look over the Linkage and check for broken links. I’m not sure what I want to do about the reviews that I’ve received and reviewed.

Neglected Sites

DigiCreation: I had wanted to create a new premade for DigiCreation before school starts again. It doesn’t look like it’s going to happen. Perhaps, I’ll put up the previous Sensorial’Org design; however, I’ve been doing that a tad too much. I don’t want DigiC to become an archive of my old designs.

I have been planning to recode the site for quite some time. I want an object driven website that’s powered by a CMS. But it seems to be such a huge undertaking to even think about how to approach the architecture. I simply can’t find the time for such things.

Chiba (Just a Token Male): My much neglected Mamoru shrine. Pages need to be proof-read, and that anime defense article that I have been “writing” for a year needs a kick. I was rather excited about the Quotes page, as well. (And that quote site that never got off the ground.) I have ideas about how the page would be laid out, but going about doing it is something entirely different. The amount of research, citing, scanning, thought…
