It was another shopping season in diguised. The occassion? High school graduation. The End was quickly approaching. All of my friends were going out to pursue their dreams. I wanted a special way to wish them luck, to thank them, to apologize and to let them know how special they were. I spent days trying to figure out how I can out-do Hallmark. When I was staring at my bottle of Ontario produced water, it hit me: what better way to deliver a message than through spring water bottles!
My idea was quickly shot down when I looked up the prices of these bottles; they were priced well above $40-50 for one. Being a student, I couldn't possibly afford all the "thanks" that I wanted to give. The notion was ridiculous--a monetary value to show one's appreciation. And truth be told, some of them weren't even all that attractive. It was then that I decided to create my own.
Affectionately is designed to give people with low budgets a creative way to express themselves. If you're unable to get your hands on the resources, or if you don't have the time or craftsmanship to put together a bottle of your own, please allow me to assist. Surprise a friend or a family member with a little message of your own. And go the extra mile once it comes in the mail: put it on a nice table cloth with a few fresh rose petals and a scented candle. They really do make wonderful keepsake items.
