Add On Rose Petals
While the bottle alone makes a wonderful gift, that extra little thing can all the difference.
Consider an accompanying bag of rose petals. With an additional $5.00 USD, a handful of freeze-dry rose petals are delivered in a white, transparent, nylon bag with your bottle. You may then scatter them around your bottle to add that extra touch.
For a one-time occassion, you may simply buy a fresh rose and take off the petals, but what's special about freeze-dry rose petals is the fact that they can be perserved and the appearance is retained. Let the person whom the bottle is for decide when he or she would like to use it "for real". When that time comes, the petals may be softened up again by atmospheric heat and moisture. The easiest way would be to place them in the bathroom during a shower. One may even take a shower with them; they have a lovely smell.
Two Kinds of Rose Petals
What's the difference between the petals in the bottle and the petals in the bag?
The petals inside the bottle (left) are simply dried rose petals. Buy a flower, hang it upside down on a wall and after a few days, this is what you'll get. They still have the smell, but they take on a different appearance, and they become very brittle.
Freeze-dry rose petals (right) are created with a special machine that pulls the moisture out of the flower. They smell and look the same as the original. They are, however, still brittle but a much lesser degree. You may bend them softly but you can't fold them. They also give you the option of returning it to its "original" state by softening them up again. It gives you the advantage of reusing them over and over again for decorative purposes, or to use them for a one-time occassion as fresh petals. After that, you can let them dry and keep it in a bottle =)
