About Me

I’ve come to the conclusion that no amount of words would do my character justice. So rather than writing a novel about my life story, I’ve decided that it would be in both our best interests to share little reasonable aspects of my life that would hint at the kind of person that I am instead.

Random Facts

  • I have at least 3 bottles of water in my room at any given time. They have varying degrees of fullness. That is because I like my water cold, and rather than putting the half-finished bottles back into the refrigerator and waiting for it to get cold again, I simply take a new bottle.
  • I like to keep my anime merchandise in mint condition. I don’t ever plan on reselling them, but I like them in their boxes and packaging.
  • I have no interest in idols. I continue to astound people with my ignorance in the area.
  • I have about 2 columns left of icon space on my desktop on both my desktop and laptop computers. My friends are disgusted, but I like to access the files I want within 2 clicks.
  • Rock CollectionSome people collect stickers, stamps, toys, and ornaments, I collect rocks. It started out from my obsession with Sailor Moon. I was spent roughly $200 on the nephrite, jadeite, zoisite and kunzite stones (top left). When my friends and my mother caught wind of it, I started receiving stones (everything else). And here I am today!

The “Artist”

By some stretch of imagination and a leap of faith, I call myself an artist. I like to entertain the idea that I am creative but I am completely humbled by the works Julia, Silas, Pierrick Martinez and the many talented people who walk among them. I am striving to produce work at that level, and perhaps, one day I will join the ranks of those I admire.

Computer Station This is my workstation. My manikins and tablet are to the right. On the left, I have a pack of writable DVDs and on top of that, a Totoro cd case of 313 One Piece episodes. I’ll need to get myself a new case soon. You don’t see it, but on the wall on my left I have 3 posters (of Kakashi from Naruto, of Mustang’s crew from Full Metal Alchemist, and of House’s cast from House M.D.), a pencil board (of the Luffy pirates from One Piece), my school schedule and a monthly calendar.

I haven’t touched traditional media in a while, but I do have a 6 feet easel in my closet, a few jars of acrylics, a portable set of oils in tubes, 2 packs of oil pastels, 3 packs of pencil crayons, and some baking clay lying around. Oh, lest we forget, 2 packs of watercolour cases and drawing pencils. Before I start drawing on walls, I have at least 5 sketchbooks, watercolour paper and a bunch of canvas boards.

All things considered, I could pass off as an art student.

Show and Tell

Over the Bed Above my bed I have my last large scale painting. The first shadow box from the top is empty. The box below that holds pictures of my childhood friends. The white shadow box holds a collection of keepsake items from my closest friends. The final box, although empty in the picture, is now the home of two dried up white roses from the “Moonlight Knight”.

All the picture frames on the shelf were gifts, the frame as well as the photos; two of them are prom shots and the remaining one was taken at a wedding. In front on the glass frame to the right is a mirrored box which holds my prized rock collection. Guarding it at the moment (non-present in the picture) is a wooden turtle with its child. The jar of cranes was also a gift as are the heads which dates back to grade six. If you throw them, the heads that is, it’ll say the following things: “Whatever”, and “Yadda, yadda, yadda” for the green one, and “For the love of…”, “Why I oughtta…”, and “What’s up?” for the yellow head.

Bed end Towards the end of the bed, you have my selection of cushions and plushes (which should include a Kakashi, a custom-made Tuxedo Kamen, a Chopper and Merry combo, an additional teddy, and a turtle napkin holder).

On the chair, you get an glimpse of what my wardrobe and choice of clothing are. For an autumn day, battle gear involves a gray sweater, a red tank and a white skirt.

Storage No room is complete without storage. (And since this was taken at a later time, you see my custom Tuxedo Kamen doll!) From the left: selection of random books with pretty pictures, scissors, brushes, clips and papers, a series of figure drawing books, school assignments, one of 3 bottles of water, and a bottle of Advil.

The left storage holds all my design material on the top level. They’re like my magazines except, well, they aren’t magazine. Over the years I have collected flyers and postcards that I thought were brilliant. They’re also a few craft books in there that I got on sale.

Turtles So I have pets. Not a dog or anything, but two (three if you include the one my brother’s) gorgeous Red Eared Sliders which I cleverly named T1 (left) and T2 (right). I had them when they were hatchings about the size of a Canadian dollar. They’re a more than 1 years old now and covers the palm of my hand.
