New Layout

Changing layouts is so much easier with WordPress. It has more personality than the previous minimalistic design, but I still tried to keep things simple so that it won’t compete with the galleries. Let me know if the text is a bit hard to read around the corners.

Gallery Update: Cobwebs, Fishing Well

wips.jpg Some sketches done over the past few days that doesn’t look like it’s going to amount to anything.

The paintings on the left were meant to accompany Crying in the Rain. I totally love the guitar instrumental and the slightly country-style charm. Although the version that I had looping was significantly faster than the video on YouTube.

It took me a few seconds to notice the new design, but OMG IT LOOKS AWESOMEsdfkjs;dkfjsd it makes me unable to type normal. You should have seen how many errors I’ve corrected by the end of this line. It has such a nice waterfall-y look!

Thank you! Heh, it should considering I totally stole the background from that waterfall maiden layout.

I love how you used your artwork in this layout! It looks great! I especially like how the 4 corners come together at the top left. For the background to this content area, I actually see the right and bottom edges of the image though ^^;; They look gray on my monitor.

I really like what you’ve done with the hair in Cobwebs. It looks so light and airy.

I adore this new layout. I also love how you incorporated your artwork in here. The contrast with the background and the grey in the layout looks great. But I have to agree with Cat — I see the bottom and right edges on the image where the content/updates are. I also see it on the area where the links are at the top.

Anyhow, good job on everything!

Love the new layout. I like how you incorporate your artwork in it =) Everything is in place although I’m not really fond of the ‘grayness’ because it makes it looked a little plain- but you have your own reason, since you want to keep it simple and don’t want to compete with the galleries.

Layout aside, I’m liking your artwork. Love the vibrant colours in Winds of Change and Mushroom Head. Fishing Well is interesting too in terms of perspective and lighting. Good work! Can’t wait to see more updates =)

@Cat, Leo: Thanks for pointing that out! I’d fix it as soon as possible.

@Spinkybean: Thank you!
