Tadpoles and Fish

Veve:: They remind me of fish out of the water, in a good way.
Elysa:: They look like tadpoles.
Veve:: Lol. I prefer the fish perspective.
Elysa:: You’re in denial, my love.
Veve:: Tadpoles are ugly little creatures whereas fish are not.
Elysa:: But tadpoles are magical little creatures that grow into other creatures!
Veve:: Fish… turn into prettier fish!
Elysa:: No they don’t. They grow into bigger fish.
Veve:: Bigger is better?
Elysa:: But they don’t change into completely different creatures?
Veve:: What they lake in [metamorphic] abilities they make up for in beautiful fins.
Elysa:: I love you.

Elysa:: You do notice that you spelled lack incorrectly, right?
Veve: In the process of taking over the world.*

And Escher would argue that fish turn into birds.
