Sketchblog

I’m turning a section of this site to be a sketchblog. I hold onto the believe that if I do enough crappy sketches, I will improve. So I’m going to make a commitment to do a sketch a day, outside so long as the weather is beautiful.
Xanatos from Disney’s Gargoyles is what all villains should be like: charming, manipulative and cunning. He never takes a defeat personally, and considers getting angry over a failure for losers. Instead, he sees them as opportunities to analyze his faults. And he has a backup plans to the letter E!
Based on one of those Gargoyle’s book. (The show gets repetitive, and Goliath is a paint to watch, but the continuing comics are much more fun to read.)
Some woman. It seems to be one of those paintings that I might like if I wasn’t the one who sketched it. One of these days I will do a successful old master’s portrait.
Modeled off my manikin.
A sketch of a monk as I’m currently reading Pillars of the Earth by Ken Foillet. There’s no kung-fu fighting in it, but the men of god play an exceptionally large role. It’s an entertaining read.
It reminds me of all the Hong Kong drama that I’ve been watching since I could barely walk–the ones with the ancient China settings. Predictable as they are, they still provide loads of entertainment.

Daily sketches will proceed starting next week.

Veve, you’re so talented it’s crazy. You’re awesome at everything you do and you’re a genius on top of that. You get better and better at these CG’s and I think you have an awesome career ahead of you! I also like the sketchblog idea.
I’m waiting for more. Take care!
