A matter of organization

Matters that still need my attention:

  • I need to put up a contact form. If anyone needs to reach me in the meantime, you may contact me at my gmail account. My username is sensile. I still check digicreation’s hotmail account (username: digicreation), though a lot less frequently. Once the move ripples over the net, I will abandon the account completely.
  • The links page is a mess. I will need to update the broken links once I get the links to actually work. Some of my coding broke having since upgraded to WP’s new taxonomy.
  • I need to rethink how I’m handling the gallery. The “Art in Progress” and “Design in Progress” were suppose give you a direct link to the projects I’m working on. At the moment, it’s grabbing the latest work that’s been tag with such labels. I don’t want to manually untag each image once I have the project completed. Perhaps I should keep all development as well as the final product on one post.
  • Galleries need to be paged once I figure how to do that with the permalinks of WordPress.
  • I do have prints for some of my art and products for some of my crafts. I don’t have a system yet, but it’s something I plan to implement one way or another.
  • I am revamping the criteria for affiliation. Art is something I’m taking more seriously and the layouts previously on DigiC is going to take the backseat. Thus, the domain of art sites and portfolio is opened up. Shameless plug to deviatArt account. Requests for affiliation will now be based on both content and hits because let’s face it, marketing is something that comes with the territory.

Light at the Tunnel

Light at the Tunnel

I’m really beginning to love this concept of speed painting. I don’t have to worry about the details, just about capturing the mood. And it works well with my lack of patience.

Based off from a scene in “5 Centimeters per Second” by Makoto Shinkai.

Download the song: “Loneliness” by Toshiro Masuda in “Naruto Official Soundtrack I” which can be downloaded at Naruto Chuushin. It’s all instrumental, and it’s been looping on my desktop for hours in the background. Listen specifically to the segment at 0:40-1:30. Naruto is lovely for its soundtrack. The first two, anyways.

- The light is blinding.
- Just keep on walking.

I’ve been called both the optimist and pessimist. If I could chose, though, I’d be the former. There are passages that we have to walk alone. Sometimes’ it’s hard and long, and when we reach the end, the light blinds us; the darkness is familiar if not comfortable. But the light is there. Just a few more steps.

What got me into the Naruto series was its amazing soundtrack. The fighting accompaniment was so engaging that I found myself at edge and rooting for the characters. It made the series come alive, and that was rather heart-breaking. The reoccurring theme of loneliness (of even the most charming of characters) and how they continued to fight for a light they aren’t even sure was there. But the series is irrelevant to those who haven’t seen it. The concept is the same: the light at the end of the tunnel, the rainbow after the storm, the silver lining behind the cloud, the break of dawn after the night… I hope I was able to do that feeling justice. There’s something fragile and beautiful in that uncertainty. Our mind tells us that a “reward” is going to be there. It simply has to be. But after spending so long in the dark, one can’t help but feel it might not be. It’s too easy.

Death God Theme WIP

Death God Theme WIP

Alternative Design A new theme for Shaza of DeathGod amongst many other shrines. It’s meant to be a graphic-lite design both in terms of size and brightness. It was a challenge to keep the layout light and maintain that Death Note feeling. A slightly different variation was to have the Shinigami on the bottom and the featured items to the top.
