Puzzling World

Puzzling World

This is a CG version of a final project I’ve done two years ago. Both the initial sketch and final piece were previously done in watercolour. I took the sketch, scanned it and did some practice on colouring.

It took 3 or 4 days along with the usual breaks and distractions. I’m quite happy with how it turned out. Still trying to feel my way around, but I’ve improved leaps and bounds since 2 years ago when I did that snowman. I still have even greater lengths to go, nonetheless.

The concept is rather simple: the world is a puzzling place. Once upon a time, we made believe we were doctors and teachers, but when we achieve our goals, what wouldn’t we give to be able to stop and smell the roses again. Albeit leaves in this case. The world across the bridge is a scary and intimidating place.
